The 6th annual reunion of the descendants of William C. Coe was held in Durham Thursday August 22, 1901 at the old Homestead, now owned by his son William T. Coe, there being 56 present. One of the principal features of family Reunions is to have something good to eat and after all had satisfied themselves thoroughly that the house keepers in the Coe family were composed of some of the best cooks in the world, they held their annual business meeting.
The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:
President: B. F. Page
Vice-president: Prof. F. W. Doane
Secretary W. L. Davis
Historians: W. T. Coe, and A. M. Camp
Literary committee: Mrs. F. W. Stone, Mrs. Jennie Sheppard, Mrs. F. W. Doane
Poetess: Miss Mildred Coe
Executive committee: were the same as last year.
A fine literary program was the presented.

It was voted to hold their next annual reunion at the same place on the third Thursday in August 1902.
