The Seventh annual Reunion of the descendents of Wm. C. Coe was held in Durham, Aug. 21, 1902, at the Old Homestead now owned and occupied by William T. Coe. After a bountiful spread under the wide spreading maples, prepared by the ladies. The business meeting followed, the officers were elected for the coming year:
President: John R. Smith
Vice President: __________
Secretary: C. W. Coe
Historian: Chas. G. Stone, voted to omit the Literary Programme
Executive Committee: the same as the preceding year
Poetess: Mrs. Chas. Shepard (Poem)
A Poem was then read by Miss Mildred A. Coe
Reading by Mrs. Jennie Coe Shepard
Essay by C. C. Camp
The Historian and others were called on for speeches, to which all responded. A shower coming up, our spirits were somewhat dampened, but a general good tie was reported. Voted to hold our next Reunion at the same place on the third Thursday in August 1903.
At that same meeting there was a news paper article shared regarding the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. & Mrs. W. T. Coe.
