The eighth reunion of the William C. Coe family was held at the Old Homestead Thursday August 20th, 1903. The tables were set under the fine maples which surround the house, and were loaded to their utmost capacity with good things which the ladies had prepared.
Seated at the center of the table could be seen Great Grandmother Coe, bright and cheerful as ever with a kind word for everyone, now in her 93rd year.
Immediately after dinner the meeting was called to order by the president-J. R. Smith. Speeches were then in order which were numerous an very interesting.
We then formed a line of march passing in front of our aged ancestor and offered congratulations.
Next in order came the presenting of the handsomest bouquet to the mother who had increased the membership since the last gathering, which was presented by C. C. Camp in his able and pleasing manner, to Mrs. Harry Rich.
Voted to hold the next reunion at the same place August 11, 1904.
