Coe Family Reunion (1907)

 

The eleventh Reunion of the Wm. /C. Coe family, was held at the Coe Homestead Durham,  Thursday August 8th, 1907.   

 

After a very pleasant forenoon, dinner was served under the Historic Coe Maples 51 descendents of the family and four visitors were present.   

 

At the close of the dinner hour, the business meeting was held and the following officers elected:

President: Harry C. Rich

Vice President: A. H. Weatherby

Secretary: Mrs. W. T. Coe

Historian: Mrs. W. T. Coe

Poetess: Mrs. H. W. Coe

In the social, now following Mrs. W. T. Coe, read a paper that was a master piece, tracing the Coe family from Robert of 1637, down through the generations to the present Robert.   A vote of thanks was tendered Mrs. Coe.   Remarks were made by W. T. Coe, welcoming the family to the old Homestead, H.W. Coe, of East Haven. E. D. Coe of Worcester, F. W. Doane of Unionville, and others, Cousin Charlie Camp then presented his boguets it was well his flower garden was large for four were needed, Mrs. C. G. Stone, Mrs. C. E. Harrison, Mrs. F. H. Page, and Mrs. C. Curtis Camp, were the recipients.   

 

Letters of regret were read from H. E. Coe, Mrs. Upson, and others were received later.   

 

Voted to hold 12th Annual Reunion at the same place August 13th, 1908.
