Coe Family Reunion (1911)

 

The fifteenth annual Reunion of the Wm. C. Coe family was held at the Coe Homestead Durham, Connecticut, Aug. 10, 1911.   After dinner had been enjoyed by fifty-seven members of the Coe family.   

 

Order was called by the President, Henry W. Coe, Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.   

 

Next the historians report was given by Mrs. W. T. Coe.   A vote of thanks was given to our historian for the concise facts stated in above report.   

 

Reminiscences were given by Wm. T. Coe and Henry W. Coe, a reading by Mrs. Jennie Curtis.   

 

According to the usual custom of presenting bouquets to the mothers of the youngest babies, flowers were given to Mrs. Clarence Harrison.   A bouquet was also given to cousins Agnes Smith in honor of the anniversary of her birth, another was presented to W. T. Coe as a gift from all present.   Further remarks were made by Charles C. Camp, and Andrew M. Camp.   

 

Officers as follows were elected for ensuing year:

 

President: Charles C. Camp

Vice President: Julius J. Riche

Secretary and Treasurer: Agnes Coe Smith

Poetess: Jennie Curtis

Historian: W. T. Coe

 

Literary Committee: 

Mrs. F. W. Doane

Mrs. W. L. Davis

Mrs. C. W. Coe.   

 

Next meeting to be held at the Coe Homestead the second Thursday in August.   Business being completed, the meeting was adjourned.
