Poem by Mrs. Henry Camp 1904

There are friends whom we meet,

‘Tis a pleasure to greet,

And we wish we might keep them forever,

We’ll think of them oft,

And our hearts will grow soft,

And forget, we’ll never no never,

But the best of friends we know must part

And shortly we must say farewell.

But we pray from the depths of our hearts

That God will in love and mercy dwell

With the friends in reunion to day,

And if on earth we meet no more,

We’ll trust our Brother, Savior, Friend

That on the bright eternal shore,

We’ll sing the songs that have no end

With the friends in reunion today
